March is here spring training is in full swing and IDI is wrapping up and also beginning a number of imaging projects in March. IDI is now scanning 1 million images of Clinical Documents for a major west coast based Pharmaceutical Company. We are in full operation at the University of Texas digitizing 3 collections and we are wrapping up a very high profile project on site in Washington DC. We will discuss this DC project in more detail in the next newsletter.
In February we also completed a 1 million image book project for Catholic University where the IDI library storage area in our facility was utilized very effectively and efficiently. The IDI van racked up 3,500 miles setting up 2 book scanners for 3 project at the University of Texas and we also picked up 2 publishing scanning projects in Louisiana.
In February IDI completed a newspaper digitization project for Belmar Historical Society, scrapbooks for the Waldwick Public Library as well as contracted to digitize the Maplewood High School yearbooks for the Maplewood Library. Each of these collections will be added to their respective Digi-Find-it web portals.
Our 2015 Fall Library, Historical Society Museum seminar and IDI tour was a huge success and we have scheduled for the next seminar and invites will go out shortly. We will be also scheduling a session in the Fall.
Digital Memory Media Fund Raising Sessions will kick-off in March with Metuchen Library and Allentown Library on March 12th. We have already booked 14 other sessions and we can schedule as many as 3 per . See the Spring 2016 schedule below and contact Dave Cavalli if you would like to schedule a session for your Library, Historical Society, Church or Synagogue. These sessions have been very successful and allow your patrons to have their memories professionally preserved, raise money for your library or organization (20% of the revenues goes to the library or org.) and our Digital Memory Media professionals do the leg work. All we require is a room a few tables and chairs on a Sat for 2 hours. We supply the press releases, signage for the library, price sheets and bookmarks to hand out to patrons with pricing and service descriptions.
Digital Memory Media 2015 fund raising sessions were very strong and we already have several bookings for 2016 (see below) and multiple other commitments but dates to be determined, so please book your session early. We can currently accommodate 3 simultaneous sessions on a and 2 hour sessions work very well.
